Our approach emphasizes mental focus and concentration, physical excellence and personal transformation through martial arts. 

Our Martial Arts 

A synthesis of the Jun Fan Martial Arts, Filipino Martial Arts (Kali, Escrima, Arnis) and the Indonesian Martial Arts (Pentjak Silat) forms the nucleus of the curriculum taught at the Loria Fighting Arts Club. The training methods and chniques from other martial arts are also incorporated and utilized in the training process at the LFAC. (e.g. Savate, Bersilat, Muay Thai).

Instructor Bio — Glenn Loria

Founder • Owner • Director • Senior Associate Instructor Loria Fighting Arts Club — Santa Clarita, California Authorized Magda Institute Association Branch School

Glenn Loria is a Filipino American martial artist, instructor, and community mentor with 30 years of continuous training, teaching, and service in the Southeast Asian martial arts. Born in San Fernando, Pampanga, with family roots in Lambunao, Iloilo on Panay Island in the Western Visayas, Glenn migrated to the United States in 1969, carrying with him the cultural heritage, values, and resilience of the Filipino people.

Before dedicating himself full‑time to teaching martial arts, Glenn served the community for 32 years as a Radiologic Technologist, providing compassionate care in the healthcare field while raising and supporting his family. His devotion to family remains central to his life — including his loving wife and son, who both train in martial arts and share in the cultural legacy he preserves.

Martial Arts Lineage & Training Background

Glenn began his martial arts journey in 1996 at the Magda Institute of Martial Arts in Reseda, California, training under world‑renowned master teachers:

  • Sifu Cass Magda Founder, Owner, Director, Chief Instructor — Magda Institute

  • Guro Eleanor Academia‑Magda Director — Magda Institute Women’s Self‑Defense & Tigers Programs Director & Chief Instructor — World Kulintang Institute

Under their guidance, Glenn developed deep skill, cultural understanding, and technical precision across the Southeast Asian martial arts. Today, he is recognized as a Magda Institute Association Senior Associate Instructor, one of the highest distinctions within the organization.

Glenn continues to train directly under Sifu Cass Magda and Guro Eleanor Academia‑Magda as a Senior Staff/Assistant Instructor and Senior Phase 4 student at the Magda Institute headquarters.

His curriculum includes:

  • Filipino Martial Arts — Kali, Escrima, Arnis

  • Indonesian Pencak Silat — Buka Jalan

  • Muay Thai Kickboxing

  • Western Boxing

  • Grappling & Dumog principles

  • Jeet Kune Do philosophy, method, and strategy

Founder of Loria Fighting Arts Club — Santa Clarita, CA

Glenn is the Founder, Owner, Director, and Chief Instructor of Loria Fighting Arts Club, the authorized Magda Institute branch serving the Santa Clarita Valley. His school is dedicated to preserving the authenticity, culture, and functional mechanics of Filipino and Indonesian martial arts — systems that remain relatively unknown in the region.

Through structured progression, cultural education, and faith‑driven leadership, Glenn provides a training environment rooted in humility, discipline, and real‑world self‑defense.

Glenn’s mission is to share his lifelong passion for training, learning, and teaching with the Santa Clarita community. He is committed to helping students:
